PNP Skills Immigration has two different categories-Express Entry and regular category. after the applicant is nominated, Express Entry category requires the applicant to submit the application to the federal immigration office online and it will be processed within 6 months. However, the regular category requires the applicant to mail the application and it takes about 1 year to be processed.

The Express Entry category also requires applicant to meet the criteria of Federal Skilled Worker, Canadian Experience Class or Federal Skilled Trade, register Express Entry profile and be accepted to the Expres Entry pool of candidates. After the applicant gets provincial nominee certificate, the applicant can be issued a work support letter to apply for a work permit, which is necessary for overseas applicant and applicant whose work permit is about to expire.
